Dreams

Helping me pick blackberries yesterday.
(cell phone photography)

A couple of nights ago I dreamed that I was watching a little
girl eat a huge platter of cooked spinach.  It was the size that
would feed a crowd and she was just shoveling it in, bite after
bite.  And I noticed that under several inches of spinach was
just as much pasta.  Lots and lots of pasta. hahahaha.
Fortunately, I actually remembered the dream in the morning
which usually doesn't happen.  Doesn't that drive you crazy?
I looked up the words spinach and pasta
at dreammoods.com and here's what it says....

"To see or eat spinach in your dream indicates you need to
be reenergized or revitalized.  It is synonymous with
strength and power.

To see or eat pasta in your dreams represents your need for
energy.  Also consider the shape of the pasta and how it relates
to a waking situation.  Penne signifies your narrow perspective.
Spaghetti noodles symbolize an entangling situation.
Elbow shaped pasta represents your need to focus on
yourself more.  And corkscrew pasta means that some
aspect of your life is out of control."

I always laugh at these interpretations!
Not that they are funny, but that they are spot on.
It totally blows me away.
Our subconsciousness is amazing. lol.

The only thing is that I don't remember what kind of
pasta.  I know it wasn't spaghetti.  I'm thinking it was
elbows or corkscrews but I can't be sure.

So a 2 layer, double dose of "you need to be revitalized
with energy" is what myself is telling me.

Maybe that was my subconscious telling me
life is spinning out of control!  Life does seems crazy.
But a good crazy.  You know me... I like to be
in control of everything, have order and simplicity.
Maybe I should just eat spinach, take a bubble bath
and drink a glass of wine. haha.

Or just eat chocolate.  Chocolate would work, right?

  5. I have a pen and paper by my bed and write them down immediately, otherwise they're gone. I dream every night and they are, more often than not, kinda crazy.
That butterfly is the most beautiful cobalt blue shade. I don't think I've ever seen one like that. Beautiful!

    1. Do you look them up? That's the most fun part. :) I always say I'm going to put pen and paper
on my bedside table and I still haven't done that. It's such a good idea.

    2. Sometimes I look them up but haven't in a while. For the most part I know why I have dreamed what I've dreamed.

    3. Many times I know why I dreamed something too...it's so obviously tied to something I'm experiencing in waking life.

  6. Hi Betsy - interesting you remembered, then you checked it all out - and found 'your answers'. The way you want to be must make your life simpler with the boys around ... spinach, cheese sauce and pasta ... excellent idea for a supper dish! Cheers Hilary

Need to slow down and breathe. :)

  7. It looks like a blackberry with butterfly wings!

A friend of mine had a dream like that once and told her doctor about it. He checked her thyroid because something about the dream made him think of it. He was a regular type doctor, not avante garde or anything, so it was unusual. Guess what? She had a thyroid problem and he was able to fix it. Weird, huh?

I find it amusing who made this stuff up at such sites
Did aliens beam down and interpret things some nights?
The mind sure can work in many a way though

  9. How bazaar. When I dream I try my best to remember it, oftentimes I'd like to return, but rarely does that happen.
I like dreams where loved ones now passed, visit :)
Yes, chocolate should cure all that ails you :)

to do that, let me know! :)

  10. Have a bubble bath with a glass of bubbly I think. My favourite pasta is called messicani shaped a bit like a 'Mexican hat but I'm pretty sure I never dreamed about it,

  11. "[Spinach] is synonymous with strength and power." Who the heck wrote that, Popeye?!?

    That's a terrific photo. Looks a bit other-worldly!

    1. Does Wonder Woman eat spinach? How does she replenish her power? :)

    2. She doesn't need to replenish it. It never goes away.

    3. What a shame. I thought Batman had to kiss her.

    4. Nope. He doesn't have to. He just wants to!

    5. I'm totally confused, then. I thought Batman kissing Wonder Woman brought her back
      from the dark side.

    6. That was one kiss in one storyline. :)

  12. dreammoods.com...I need to remember that one. I don't remember having dreams much at all, but when I do they have been so weird. It would be fun to check it out. That poor girl and that platter of spinach and pasta! haha I like spinach really well, but kale is also another favorite. As for the pasta...I am wondering if (in real life, not dreamland) you have made your "noodles" from veggies? My daughter-in-law does all the time and the family really seems to enjoy it. We do like spaghetti squash.

    1. We rarely eat pasta! haha. I don't have one of those spiralizers but we do eat spaghetti squash
quite often! Next dream look it up....so fun!

  13. I'm strong to the finish cause I eat my spinach, I'm Popeye the sailor man. Maybe it wouldn't hurt you. It is really good for your eyes. Hope you can keep the control in check. Your berry and butterfly picture is beautiful.
